DOCUMENTARY ON CISCOPE/OXFAM INTERVENTION IN ADAMAWA STATE
The plight of inhabitants of the North East more specifically those of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States, which were directly affected by the spate of violent religious extremism, have not improved very much, this is compared especially to the kind of publicity being given to their ordeal.
Both national and international Non-Governmental Organisations have been doing their bit to bring relief to affected communities. CISCOPE in partnership with OXFAM, have been working hard and steadfastly, as funds permit, to reach quite a number of displaced persons, through distribution of Food and Non Food items (NFIs), carrying out trainings on how to help victims resettle both economically and socially, distribution of fertilizer and even cash transfer. But even with the impressive job being done by both CISCOPE and OXFAM, there is still more ground to be covered.
Here is a link to a documentary done by The Guardian on some of CISCOPE/OXFAM activities.
